Glenn County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA)
Policies and Administrative Regulations
All schools in Glenn County are members of a SELPA dedicated to ensuring that students with disabilities receive appropriate and individualized educational services. The SELPA operates under local policies and regulations that align with federal and state laws to ensure that every student’s educational needs are met in the least restrictive environment.
Through a collaborative process with the governance committee made up of the Superintendents & Directors for each school, SELPA outlines the steps for referral, assessment, and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address each student's unique needs. Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in the comprehensive support services provided, including specialized instruction, related services, and accommodations designed to help every student thrive. Glenn County SELPA's coordinated approach ensures families, educators, and service providers work together to empower students with the tools they need for success.
