GCOE Thanks Local Businesses for Opening their Doors to Student Workers!

We are deeply grateful to the businesses across Glenn County who open their doors to our students each year. By providing real-world work experiences, you are not only offering jobs, but also helping shape futures, strengthen skills, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Your investment in our students makes a lasting difference for families, schools, and our entire community.

Youth Apprenticeship Program Planning Underway

Glenn County Office of Education, in collaboration with Glenn 2 Greatness and several regional partners, has officially entered the planning phase for a new youth apprenticeship initiative: the Paraprofessional Registered Youth Skills Model (PRYSM).

This program aims to support opportunity youth ages 16–24 by combining paid, career-connected learning with mentorship, wraparound services, and a pathway to teaching credentials.

une in to the latest episode of Voices of Hope, a podcast produced by Glenn 2 Greatness, where we highlight the innovative partnerships powering the educator pipeline. In July’s episode, “Apprenticeships for a Stronger Tomorrow,” Dr. Aaron Koch (Community Schools Lead, Glenn County Office of Education) and Dr. Erin Whitney (Assistant Director, Chico State School of Education) explore how schools, higher education, nonprofits, and community agencies are coming together to build connected education pathways. Through purposeful partnerships, they’re creating hands-on opportunities that empower young people to pursue careers in education—strengthening both individual futures and the region as a whole.
