In Glenn County, collaboration among various agencies is vital to effectively meet the diverse needs of families. By providing access to various resources within Glenn County, we foster a unified approach that ensures families have access to essential resources and services. This cooperative effort not only strengthens our community but also enhances the safety and well-being of children and families. Together, we share information about programs that provide educational support, health services, and child care assistance, thereby creating a comprehensive network of support. The goal of the Glenn County Office of Education is to empower families with the tools needed to thrive, ensuring that every child in Glenn County has the opportunity for a healthy and successful future.

Glenn CARES

The Glenn CARES Collaborative is a group of member organizations across the county who have united for the common purpose of working together to address trauma in our community. CARES stands for Community Ambassadors for Resiliency, Empowerment, and Support. Representation includes those from education, health, wellness, social service, faith, and justice agencies.

In an effort to educate and raise awareness for ACEs, Hope and Wellness, the Glenn CARES Collaborative will launch awareness campaigns, develop trauma-aware coaching clinics for local sports teams, and host periodic events open to the public, elected officials, and community leaders.

Glenn2Greatness

Glenn2Greatness seeks to create an environment conducive to cross-collaboration between community builders in all arenas of influence so that local resources are stewarded and made accessible to ALL Glenn county residents who are in pursuit of professions in the healthcare and education industries. Beyond this scope of work, we also recognize the need to retain our skilled workforce by identifying the numerous opportunities and assets available to residents in Glenn County.

Glenn2Greatness exists to equip the next generation of educators and healthcare providers with marketable skills. Our mission is to assist learners in acquiring jobs in the healthcare and education industries by providing them with access to local education/career pathways.

Glenn2Greatness operates from a collective impact model with an emphasis on human-centered design. Our network is currently composed of local leaders representing sectors in education, business, philanthropic, nonprofit, and civic sectors. Together, a cross-sector group of stakeholders make collective decisions toward the implementation and direction of grants. An executive steering committee brings together key people from Glenn County Community Action Department, Glenn County Public Health, Glenn Medical Center, Quest Diagnostics, Northern Valley Indian Health, Butte College, UC Davis, Willows Unified School District, the Small School District Association, Healthy Rural California, and Glenn County Office of Education.
