Glenn Success Square Conference Center

Reservations for the use of the Success Square Conference Center, call 530-936-6980.
The Glenn Success Square Conference Center is located at the east end of Glenn Success Square at 131 E. Walker Street in Orland, and it's use is made available to the community by the Glenn County Office of Education.  Centrally situated in the northern Sacramento Valley, Orland is one hour from Redding, one hour from Sacramento and 20 minutes from Chico.  The Conference Center is easily located and highly visible on State Route 32 (Walker Street) in Orland.
 
The Conference Center is available by reservation, offering groups and individuals a venue for meetings, seminars, fundraisers, business meetings and presentations.  Building capacity is 162 persons, and the room may be set up in 8 different configurations to meet the needs of the groups.  Those wishing to reserve the room are advised to get their requests in early, as the calendar fills up fast after the beginning of school in August.
 
Highlights of the facility include:
  • Food preparation area, complete with full-size appliances.
  • Two state-of-the-art projection screens.
  • Multiple wireless microphones.
  • Data ports at the front of the room for presentations.
  • Internet accessibility.
  • Hanging speakers provide excellent sound to everyone in the room.
  • The GCOE Facilities Department will set up and remove chairs and tables in a configuration chosen by the group.
  • There is plenty of off-street parking. For larger gatherings, off-site parking is available within walking distance of the facility.

Conference Center Use Charges

Classification I -   No charge - for groups coordinated within GCOE Administration and school sites.
Classification II -  No charge to local school districts, local education associations and public agencies.
Classification III - $150.00/day - Private non-profit organizations, other educational
                               associations, and private parties.
Classification IV - $300.00/day - All other users.
 Regularly scheduled use is subject to a negotiated use fee or Memorandum of Understanding.
Please note:  Uses which require payment of a fee also require a refundable deposit of $300.00.
                       Glenn Success Square is a school facility, and as such, does not allow the consumption or                                       serving of alcoholic beverages in any building.
If you no longer wish to use the Conference Center, please call 530-936-6980 to cancel your reservation.

Responsibilities of Use

Those who use the Conference Room are asked to:
  • Leave the room as it was set up.
  • Put all audio/visual equipment back in box on top of AV center. 
  • Pick up all garbage and put it in the outside dumpster.
  • Empty, clean, and unplug the coffee pot.
  • Do not leave food in the refrigerator unless arrangements have been made with the office to pick it up the following morning.  Anything left without prior arrangements will be discarded.
  • Lock up room when event has concluded. Lights will turn off automatically.
  • Please report any malfunctions or problems you encountered when using the room by calling 530-936-6980 Ext. 4500.
