Truck Driver Training
California Human Development, in conjunction with the Glenn County Office of Education Adult Program, offers a Truck Driving Traiining Course at GCOE's Learning Center South in Willows, California.
Commercial truck driving trainees study with their instructor to be able to take and pass the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles Class A Driving Permit test. After the appropriate amount of behind -the-wheel training time, and upon the approval of the instructor, the permit holder will be able to schedule and take the DMV driving test to become a licensed Class A driver.
The course is 300 hours, and training days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Your employment opportunities are up to you! CHD has grant oppportunities available to you and will assist you in your employment search.

Good information to know:
- Interested individuals need to complete and submit a Motor Vehicle Record.
- Participants need to obtain a DMV H-6 Printout for a 10 year driving record.
- Anyone that has received a DUI in the past 7 years cannot be enrolled in the course.
- Participants will be drug tested prior to the beginning of the program.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
- Grants are available to help with tuition.
