Annual Reporting

2020-2021 Annual Report

As part of the Head Start Act of 2007, each Head Start agency makes a report available to the public annually that provides an overview of information about the program budget and services provided during the last fiscal year. The report is program-wide and does not reveal any personal information about the children and families served. Instead, it provides the opportunity for our organization to detail, among other things, the number of children and families served, and numbers of children connected with medical and dental services along with school readiness activities helping to prepare children for kindergarten.

We are happy to announce that the 2020-2021 Annual Report is now available to view online in English and Spanish!

You may also request a physical copy of the report by calling (530)865-1145.

Healthy Schools Act and our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan

On September 29, 2014, Governor Brown signed into law Senate Bill 1405 (DeSaulnier). This bill makes amendments to the Healthy Schools Act (HSA) which went into effect on January 1, 2015. These amendments are in addition to the current requirements to send out annual notices of pesticides that may be used and to post at individual sites 24 hours in advance when pesticides will be applied, with the posting remaining for 72 hours after application.

Under the new law, school sites (licensed child care centers and public K-12 schools) must develop an Integrated Pest Management Plan or use the integrated pest management (IPM) plan template provided by the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) to develop an IPM plan for their school site or school district.

This IPM plan must be posted on the district’s or school site's Web site and/or sent out to all parents, guardians, and staff with the annual pesticide notice. Child and Family Service's IPM Plan was last updated on September 20, 2022.

Child and Family Services' approach to pest management at our Preschool and Infant/Toddler sites can be viewed by clicking here.
