The Payroll Department provides service, support and assistance in the area of payroll and retirement reporting for all persons employed in programs operated by Glenn County Office of Education and the nine school districts supported by GCOE. We look forward to working with you.
Classifed Employee Summer Assistance Program Form (Due to GCOE Payroll by 3/1/2022)
Payroll team responsibilities include:
- GCOE payroll calculations, adjustments and processing, including:
- wage garnishments (IRS levy, Franchise Tax Board, Child Support)
- Health and Welfare benefit processing and payments
- IRS 125 plan maintenance (American Fidelity)
- Voluntary deductions (union dues, 403(b) contributions through TCG/457 through CalPERS)
- Audits of district payroll to insure proper calculations, retirement codes, and proper authorizations

- Payroll warrant processing and report distribution
- Affidavits for Lost Payroll Warrants
- GCOE and district Federal Tax, State Tax, State Unemployment Insurance (SUI), State Disability Insurance (SDI) Payment and Reporting. Click here for W4 form. Click here for DE4 form.
- Preparation of annual W-2's
- Countywide Retirement reporting for California Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS) and California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS)
- Liaison between district personnel and CalSTRS and CalPERS
- District and GCOE department training
