The North Star Career and Wellness Center will function as a centralized hub for student support services, co-locating direct service providers in a shared environment. Through this integrated model, personnel from Health and Wellness and Career Technical Education will engage directly with children and youth in downtown Orland, fostering stronger collaboration, more coordinated service delivery, and improved support for student success.
The center will include space for clinical supervision, healing circles, and team meetings. It will also have open work areas for staff to complete assessments, build student portfolios, and create care plans.
Additional features include a Career Closet with a reception and guest seating area, dressing room to support interview and work readiness, and flexible workspaces for small group planning and collaboration.
Overall, the center is designed to support teamwork among providers and help students prepare for success in school, careers, and life.
We are excited to announce our upcoming Red Ribbon Ceremony, an important milestone for our students and community. As part of the celebration, students will also have the opportunity to meet program staff at the North Star Career and Wellness Center during the Career Tree Showcase & Gallery Walk on May 21.
