Become an Approved GCOE Volunteer or Intern

Thank you for your interest in volunteering or interning with the Glenn County Office of Education (GCOE). To help ensure a safe environment for our students and staff, all volunteers and interns must complete the approval process before beginning their assignment or working with students.

To become an approved GCOE Volunteer or Intern, individuals must:

  • Complete the GCOE Volunteer/Intern Application and Agreement
  • Complete a Live Scan background check. Schedule by calling 530.934.6575 x 3000
  • Provide a current TB clearance
  • Complete required Mandated Reporter Training (Training is linked in the Application and Agreement Packet)
  • Complete required Child Abuse Prevention Training (Training is linked in the Application and Agreement Packet)
  • Receive final approval from GCOE before beginning any volunteer or internship activities

Please do not begin volunteering or interning until you have been notified that all requirements have been completed and your application has been approved.
