| | Elizabeth Gomez is an award winning artist, book illustrator, muralist and story-teller. She is originally from Mexico City but calls the Bay Area her home. She believes that art-making is what makes every day special. She has 2 daughters, 1 dog, two cats and 5 fish.

| | EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
On February 10, 2011 close to 300 students from nine schools attended the Glenn County Office of Education’s 4th annual Young Writers’ Festival. These students, in grades 4th-8th, submitted a piece of writing prior to the event. Using a rubric, the writing was judged and winners were announced at the festival.
Winning entries have been bound into books given to each participating school's library. There is also a copy at the Library Media Center available for check out.

Jeff Savage Jeff Savage has written more than 150 books including biographies of positive role models in sports and entertainment, current events, and historical accounts of settling the West. | | M. Sarah Klise Sarah Klise collaborates with her sister, Kate, on popular children's books including the "Regarding the..." series and the "43 Old Cemetery Road" graphic mystery series. While Kate provides the text for their books, Sarah provides the illustrations. Ms. Klise draws and paints in her studio in Berkeley, CA, and teaches drawing to children and adults in San Francisco's China Town.
