AN ALERT TO FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN GLENN COUNTY:

Under new state budget proposals
  • Child Care Aid Would Be Slashed
  • Fewer Families Would Be Eligible For Assistance
  • Child Care Providers Would Be Paid Less
  • Child Care Resource and Referral Programs Would Be Cut Completely  
Over 181,000 children would lose child care statewide
 
In Glenn County alone:
278 children would lose services
Over 150 working families would no longer be able to afford child care

Hands on Health Van Visits Glenn County!

A mobile health van visited Glenn County with interactive exhibits for parents and children alike!

Child and Family Services preschool programs (Head Start and State Preschool) got in on the fun!

Featuring a Fruit & Vegetable Toss, a Spinning Wheel of Health, and many other great activities- the van was a big hit! And families received lots of information about the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity.
