| | This was a club designed for K-3 students. The challenge they were given was to take 15 gum drops and 30 toothpicks and build the tallest structure they could. They had 20 minutes to complete the structures, and the structures had to be able to stand alone while being measured. The students could work alone or in pairs. The winning pair won a prize. The favorite part for the students was that they got to take the gumdrops home afterwards | |

| | The Fairview Pondering Poets have designed their own books of poetry and written several different types of poems in their books. Each day they add to their poetry books ending their daily group on Thursday’s with a Poetry Café. One by one the children stand up and read their poems while the rest of the group enjoy some yummy cocoa and cookies. Ms. Niegel is hoping that this group of kids goes on to enjoy poetry as much as she does. | |
